What is nature, and how do we, as humans, relate to it? The fundamental image of nature constantly clashes with the rapid evolution in knowledge, technology, and ideas about it. FUTURE BOTANICA is an Augmented Reality app that enables users, in collaboration with an AI, to design speculative ecosystems with new nature. These virtual ecosystems are then planted into the existing physical nature, allowing exploration of ideas, expectations, fears, and desires regarding future nature. Users experience that any addition or alteration to an ecosystem affects the functioning of the entire ecosystem. With Future Botanica, we aim to challenge our audience to speculate on the transitions ahead. By collecting and sharing stories and ideas from different people and generations, new perspectives emerge, acting as a time capsule for the future.

The rules in these laws are the rules we need to abide by to ensure that your information is kept safe and private.
When we say ‘Personal Data’ or ‘Personal Information’, we mean any information that relates to an individual person. This person needs to be identifiable through the data that is collected. Any data we collect from participants in our projects is end-to-end encrypted, which means that nobody can read the data (on the server, nor in transit, nor on the device). The participants themselves can choose to make use of the app during the performance or not. When attending the Future Botanica performance, photos may be taken. Sharing these images on social media is part of Polymorf’s publishing activities. The participants are always asked whether they feel comfortable being visible and recognisable on social media.
